Diuretic and Depurative Salads

Cold weather, a sedentary lifestyle and an inappropriate diet decrease our blood circulation rate and contribute to the formation of cellulite and swellings. If you happened to indulge a bit too much, you can detoxify with a fruits and vegetables based low-calorie diet which, if you recall, we should consume at least 5 times a day. Here is a delicious, citrus scented salad that is low in fat and rich in healthy nutrients.

Ingredients

  • 100 gr. lamb’s lettuce
  • 5 radishes
  • 1 fennel
  • 1 orange (peeled on the spot)
  • 60 gr. grilled tofu
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
  • 6 tablespoons Limmi lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

Wash the lettuce and place it in a bowl. Wash the radishes, cut them into small cubes and do the same with the tofu. Peel and cut the orange into pieces, julienne the fennel and add everything to the lamb’s lettuce. On the side, mix the lemon juice (6 tablespoons di Limmi lemon juice) with oil and salt, then dress the salad with it. Lastly, sprinkle of flax seeds over it.

Lamb’s lettuce or Valerianella: rich in vitamin A and C, this lettuce has calming, antianemic, depurative, diuretic, laxative properties and protects the circulatory system by strengthening and stimulating the capillaries.
