Lemon, Natural Lightener and Whitener: From Hair to Teeth!

Once you discover all the cosmetic properties of lemon, you won’t be able to do without it! It’s time for lemon to go beyond the kitchen.

Besides an excellent condiment, lemon juice is a precious ally for all home-made beauty treatments.
Lemon juice can be used to make effective cosmetic and natural treatments for hair and teeth as well.

Its bleaching and whitening action in fact:

  • makes hair shiny and lighter in colour
  • removes unsightly food, drink, and nicotine stains from tooth enamel.

How to bleach hair with lemon

  • Add 100 ml of lemon juice to a cup of water
  • Apply the solution to the entire length of your hair, and leave it on for 30 minutes.
  • Rinse off under running water

Your hair will be lighter in colour.

For an even lighter effect, add a little bit of conditioner to the lemon juice solution and mix. Apply it to your hair, then stand in the sun for a while before rinsing it off. The combination of sunlight and juice will maximise the results, especially when the treatment is repeated once a week.

Always make sure to rinse it off exposed skin: the combined action of sunlight and lemon may cause unsightly stains.

How to whiten teeth with lemon

Prepare a paste by adding a few drops of lemon juice to baking soda, then rub your teeth with it for no longer than 1 minute. Rinse off with plenty of water. Be sure not to use a toothbrush: its action may prove to be overly aggressive.

For these and many other purposes, it’s good to have Limmi lemon juice on hand at all times. When stored in the refrigerator, its properties and organoleptic characteristics remain unaltered until the stated expiration date.
